The carbon-neutral current account

Our client EHA Energie-Handels-Gesellschaft has developed Germany’s first carbon-neutral current account for Sparda-Bank Hamburg. EHA had previously collated all the greenhouse gas emissions caused by a current account in a carbon balance sheet certified by TÜV SÜD. The unavoidable emissions were compensated by promotion of climate protection projects. Now Sparda-Bank Hamburg is offering its customers the ‘Sparda Horizont’ current account, so that they can protect the climate with every banking transaction.
